The Praises for the World concert/ritual was far beyond my preconceived vision and wildest expectations. 1400 of us gathered together from many communities that evening... over 50 performers, 70 volunteers and 1300 audience members. It was an evening of indescribable beauty, in the midst of the unspeakable horror of the first bombs dropping on Baghdad. We came with broken hearts and sang, danced, prayed, cheered, wept and quietly meditated together in honor of our sacred and struggling planet, creating for one night the world we want to live in.
